Students enter the building starting at 8:00 am
Classes are in session from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm.
The pre-kindergarten half-day program runs from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
Half-day dismissal time is 11:30 am
Extended Day Care runs from 7:00 am to 8:00 am and from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm
The drop off time window will be 20 minutes and will be from 8:00-8:20am. Parents dropping off by cars will drop students off at the main entrance. Students in grades K-3 will enter through the main doors, students in grades 4-8 will enter the doors at the second level, students in Pre-K will be led by a teacher on a designated foot trail path to enter the ECC building. Parents can also choose to park their cars and walk students to the building. Students in grades K-3 at the main door line, students in grades 4-8 at the second level line, and students in Pre-K in line in front of the ECC building.
If a child arrives at school after 8:20 AM, a parent must escort the child to the main office of the school. Our secretary will write out a tardy slip for the child, and he or she will proceed to the classroom.
Please note that excessive or habitual tardy arrivals will be addressed by the principal.
The regular school day ends at 3:00 PM.
Half-day dismissal time is 11:30 AM.
Students will be dismissed from their classrooms and will exit the same doors that they used for arrival. Parents picking up in cars will be asked to give their last name to the staff member at the entrance of the school. A staff member will then communicate through a walkie-talkie into the school building, and then that student/family’s last name will be announced for dismissal. Parents that choose to park and walk to greet their student(s) will communicate to the staff member with the walkie-talkie as well. Parents dismissing on-foot will be asked to wait in the walk way area for their student(s). If a parent is picking up more than one student, the parent should wait in line outside the main doors and students in that family will meet them outside.
Parents of Full day Pre-K students will be asked to pick up between 3:00-3:15, regardless of their last name. If Pre-K students have siblings in grades K-8, these students would also be picked up between 3:00-3:15. Pre-K students will be lined up on their foot path trail from the main building to the ECC building during good weather conditions. During poor weather conditions, these students will be waiting inside the gym and will be announced through the walkie-talkie system.Students who are routinely picked up by other parents/guardians should have a note in the office that allows them to be dismissed to this person,
Leominster residents are able to take the Leominster Public School buses. Bus routes are determined in the first week of school. Pre-Kindergarten students can not ride the bus.
Please notify Mrs. Priddy in the office if you are interested in signing up for bus transportation. You will need to fill out a form indicating when your child will take the bus.
Children in pre-kindergarten are not eligible to ride the buses. Children in kindergarten may ride the bus to and from school; however, an adult must be present at the drop-off location at the end of the school day.
First Student Transportation Office will allow additional riders visiting a friend's house if the child is accompanied by a note signed by a parent or guardian. The bus will not drop students off at any address besides the one listed on file.
Extended Care opens before school at 7:00 am. Students are dismissed to classes between 8:00-8:15 am. After school Extended Care runs from dismissal at 3:30pm to 5:30 pm.
No, one form per family is sufficient.

Yes, it is available from dismissal at 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. The rate is $35 per child ($15 for each sibling). Children must bring their own lunches.
No. Extended Care closes with school cancellations. Extended Care is also not available on holidays or vacation days.
If school is delayed opening by one hour, the morning program is also delayed by one hour and opens at 8:00 am. If school is delayed two hours, the morning program is not available.
No. By law, Extended Care staff members are not allowed to dispense any medications. Arrangements should be made with the school nurse if there are any medications that need to be given to your child during school hours.

Warm Weather Uniforms- First day of School until October 31st then again from May 1st until the end of school or at specific dates set by the principal:Gym Day Uniforms=Students need to follow guidelines for the winter uniform above for their grade level but are also able to wear navy gym shorts. These need to be purchased at Allens or Ricky’s or as approved by the principal. Shorts should be no shorter than three inches above the knee
School shoes: should be dress shoes (black or navy one solid color). Oxford style, saddle shoes, loafers, top-siders are acceptable. Middle School Girls and Boys (Grades 6-8) can wear High or Low top Converse only on Gym Uniform Days. No sandal, no open-back shoes, or any type of shoe which resembles a tennis shoe, no boots or “Uggs,” no hi-top shoes, and no shoes with a heel over 1 1/2 inches (measured from the back exterior of the shoe) are permitted.
Students may wear boots to school on snowy days but must change into school shoes upon arrival. A boot is defined as any footwear that covers the ankle bone.
What are "Spirit Wear" items?
Spirit wear items include cheerleading uniforms, cross country uniforms, and basketball sweatshirts. These items may be worn on Spirit Days, and sweatshirts that include the St. Anna logo may be worn on gym days. Please note that non-St. Anna sweatshirts are not allowed to be worn with uniforms.
Students wear their gym uniforms to school on their gym day. The gym uniform for all grades is SAS t-shirt with plain navy sweatpants or wind pants. Students are allowed to wear plain navy shorts during gym class, but they must bring long pants to wear over them unless Warm Weather uniforms are in effect.
No. Gym sneakers should have white or non-scuff soles to protect the gym floor. They may not light up or make noise. Heelys are not allowed. Gym sneakers may be kept at school for the duration of the year or students may bring them in on gym days.
There are uniforms in good condition available at the school. Please check with Mrs. Priddy in the main office. If your student has uniforms they have outgrown, we accept clean uniforms in good condition to reuse for future students.
Yes! Parents are encouraged to discuss any questions or concerns directly with their child's teacher.
Children in preK through grade 8 are welcome to bring a snack for mid-morning. Students in grades 4-8 do not have morning recess but do take a morning break. Water bottles are permitted in school but must be in a closable container.
Absolutely! Parents are welcome to attend any weekly Mass with the school.
Faculty members are required by the Diocese of Worcester and by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to attend professional development days. These days allow for teacher training, coordination, and for school-wide development.
These scheduled days may not coincide with Leominster Public School's calendar. Students may have a half-day or no school on professional development days.
Religious enrichment days are similar to professional development days, but they focus the faculty on the school's Catholic identity. Many of these days are held for the entire Diocese of Worcester, and staff from all of the Catholic schools come together to celebrate Mass and collaborate with other Catholic educators.
